According to American traditions, today is St. Valentine's day. An official day, when you suppose to declare love to your dears. If you have such of course.I never celebrated this holiday. Even though I really wanted sometimes. It's always sweet to get some nice presents and spend time with your boyfriend. For last few years I was trying to convince my (ex) boyfriend to celebrate St. Velantine's somehow, but he was against all this foreign unorthodox traditions.
Today I'm single (and fabulous :D ), but don't feel alone at all. I would say that I felt more lonely when I was in relationships. This day doesn't mean anything special for me now. I'm sure that I was just influenced by active marketing campagns going all around and relationships obligations.
But somehow I had the best St. Valentine's day ever.
I didn't plan to do all those activities specificly on St. Valentine's. It was simple coincidence that made my day just awesome: good sleep after yesterday's party; yoga class with Antonio; swimming and sauna with Mari-Anna; my favourite Deli De Luca coffee; cooking pancakes (because today is Pancake Sunday for orthodox people) and eating them with my dear Roxi; working with webpage (it's tiring, but I really like this!); random talks with my friends; blogging... One thing that I didn't do - reading. But I'll catch up during the next week.
Now I'm thinking: why do people search for love from somebody else if you already have a person who loves you the most? And this person will stay with you forever. Because it's YOU.
Of course, it's easier to rely on somebody else, to be dependent, to blame somebody else in the end and all this bla-bla-bla. It's harder to find enegry inside yourself and move one, and achieve something new, and build world around you... Only when you've found this balance, you're ready to impact somebody's else life and sustain relationships.
But if you really have this inner strenghts to be "in love with yourself", you'll never be alone. Neither on St. Valentine's day, nor any other day of the year.

There is nothing more artistic in this world than to love people :)
If one cannot cultivate people during his lifetime then he/she has wasted the priceless tenure.
Love yourself but don't love yourself too much as it only blooms if it is spread :)
To be in love with yourself doesn't mean to be selfish.
I do agree that love should be spread because happiness is only real when it shared.
But you can't love properly other people before you love yourself. You simply can hurt others if you are not in peace with your soul and body.
What an awesome post. Simple, but one of my favorites when thinking about you. You are fabulous!
